    Hi all,

I have a Motorola V120E phone. I also have a couple of car chargers.
Depending which charger I use, the display light up and then goes out while
charging with some, and stays on with others. Anyone know what the difference is
??? Will it hurt the phone for the display illumination to be on for an
    extended period ???

    Thanks,

Chargers vary in how much current they provide. With "low capacity"
chargers, the light goes off; with "high capacity" chargers, the light
stays on. Although with my "low capacity" AC charger, the light seems
to stay on if the battery is already near a full charge, which leads me
to suspect that there is logic in the phone which tries to guess
which kind of charger is attached, rather than different pins or some
other explicit communication from the charger.

In Car chargers will tend to provide a Display Light ON condition based on
the fact that the user maybe driving in a Dark Or Low Light condition and
thus needs to see the display.
