v60c or v60i for mercedes benz

I have a mercedes benz with the car phone system that mercedes benz
installed the phone is the the v60c. can i change it to the v60c or the v60s
and will it still work in my system thank you

The age old dilemma. And unfortunately the answer remains a resounding NO.
The phones are mad by Motorola for Mercedes (and BMW, LEXUS and Jaguar) with
special Firmware that only allows the Mercedes phone model for that cars
system to work. The only hope you possibly have is find someone selling on
eBay or some other second hand opportunity.
This has been a topic that pops up about once or twice a month and the
answer stays the same. Sorry, but the auto manufacturers want your cash all
the way.
