Direct Talk

I am interested in the Direct Talk feature. Do both Nextels have to be
switched to Direct Talk for it to work, or does a Direct Talk call
automatically switch the receiving unit into Direct Talk mode? (Like Direct
Connect)

Yes, both units must be switched and they also have to be on the same talk
channel.
