Received another round of spam calls -
from (661) 375-3050
Weird how I get the call on my phone,
and then the other cell phones in the house
get the call during the day,
and our cell numbers are not even in the same exchange
or sequentially numbered ...

this was the previous message -

People are getting calls from 786-879-6669 on cellular phones.
There is a brief recorded message in spanish
that tells you to call another number for a trip or car, etc.
There are a few web articles that pop up on Google,
but very little chatter in the newsgroups about
how to combat this type of spam auto-calling....
It seems to be mostly Sprint & Verizon users,
but with number portability, it might be spreading.
The only thing I've done with our Sprint phones
is merely save the number with a name of "spam".

I got that too the other day! I had one black caller with mutter mutter
mumbo jumbo.
And then two Spanish calls with yo queero taco bell or something (Sorry my
Spanish is limited to "got back to where you came from" or "Stop or I will
shoot")
It was on my prepaid T-Mobile and I didn't get the calls because the phone
was off.
I guess my redneck voice mail doesn't stop them LOL

Unfortunately, all you've done is identified the reseller of local
service who has the block of numbers. They are not the ones making the
calls - it's one of their customers. However, complaints to the company
about the customer who has the line may result in some action against
the customer if it violates the terms of service agreement.
