    Just one thought...remember the war interviews in Iraq when a local
    correspondent would ask a field reporter in Iraq a question? Remember how
    long it took for that person in Iraq to hear the question first and then
    replying? That is what the Verizon PTT service will be like. Instant...it
    is not! At least not like DC.

    That was a satellite. Half-second delays are part of the package.

    Full-second, actually; both ways.

    Nextel, though, being PTT, isn't usually a) that bad, b) noticeable
    -- unless you're in the same room. You *expect* some delay.

    Not key-up to "go ahead", but between the radios.

    The one second is the repeater trip. It is to open the tower.
