I have a fleet of Nextel phones and am having trouble with the
chargers/phone connection. We do construction and are tough on the phones
(I58's). I have had to replace two phones already due to corrosion, etc in
the phone connector and I have had a handful of chargers broken already.
Has anyone else managed to solve this problem??

What is the model number on the chargers? Wall? Vehicular? If they are under
a year old they might qualify to be returned to Motorola if they are still
    under 1 year warranty.Having a sales invoice/bill will help.I have replaced
3 chargers with Motorola for the i90 with no problem.I paid shipping via
    UPS.

I've heard the ac chargers, if you don't press the button in all the way
tend to break from wear and tear.

I purchased their charging stand, connected the connector to it and it works
    great that way, much smoother.
