From Googling the word it appears to be a made up word having to do with
people who are supporters of Verizon (made up by people who don't like
Verizon). Given the list of NGs (minus emerg-services and firefighters), this
would appear to be the definition. To see its use, go to

Too cutesy for my tastes, but there ya go.

A Verizon Zealot, one for whom verizon can do no wrong. Over here in
SprintPCS land, we have SprintPCS apologists.

A "vealot" is apparently a person who defends Verizon Wireless to the
death. You may notice that there is a great deal of VZW bashing in
these newsgroups... particularly in the Nextel one right now...
    interpret that as you will.

Usually when there are bad things said about VZW, there will be many
responses picking apart the criticism and declaring shenanigans on the
    person who criticized.

I assume the word derives from the term "zealot" but was so craftily
changed by adding a "v" for the Verizon part, and adding the rest of the
word to it. Brilliance. I think.

I, for one, don't see my self as a "vealot" but I am very happy with my
Verizon Wireless service, and I may respond to someone posting "VZW has
the worst coverage" or something of that nature that is blatantly false.
