    Hi....
I had service for about 3 hours into the blackout..then my phone
showed "No Service" until we got power back at 5am.
After that I was able to get and recieve calls, text message and direct
connect with no problems, but call quality was poor until the following
day when it was crystal clear again. My neighbors with Sprint has about
    the same experience.

Because I only discovered this NG yesterday and thought I'd add my two
cents. Are you always this rude to new folks around here? This is the
second nasty response I've gotten here...obviously new people are not
welcome. Had I known it was a private NG I wouldn't have intruded. My
bad for not checking before I posted.

If you think me asking you why you posted something about an event a month ago
was rude... you haven't been on Usenet long enough. I was simply asking since
there was a thread about this at the time the event occoured. To just up and
post sumthin' like that at random is just... weird. In any case, this isn't a
private NG or anything like that, so you can post whatever you like.

How many hours into the blackout did your refridgerator stop running and you
couldn't watch TV? If it was more than your nextel service you should make
    a complaint to customer care.

Well there's no reason to be extremely rude about it heh. So she posted
something that has nothing to do with current times and such, no big deal. If
she actually does come back (which I doubt now heh), maybe she won't post such
odd and random things. Give her a chance, this is probably her first time
    using Usenet.

Pay no mind to my sig quote, it's random and not directed towards her.
