You should start studying the latest coverage maps and stop spewing
mis-information. As explained earlier, the VZW data network and the
entire VZW network are virtually identical, save a very few exceptions
for recent acquisitions. Now do your homework and give it a rest
    already.

check maps and you will see that ,coverage for say ptt is not the same
as verizon national coverage, national map includes roaming coverage
areas.but it is still a bigger area than other ptt provider.

Agreed to a point- and look at the holes on the national coverage map
where it doesn't cover- not even close to national coverage. And it
certainly doesn't offer better coverage than Nextel. As to where I've
been- been getting the facts- give it a try sometime.

And as explained earlier, the network does not offer the national
coverage they claim. No disclaimers appear in the commercials stating
that it does not have the same coverage as their phone service. Huge
holes, period. Homework done- try the same. Or are you involved in
    some spewing of your own?

Don't bother. If the big red blob covering the whole of western SC is
any indication, even areas there are only AMPS transmitters, is any
indication.....the map is just the usual "rate map" bull**** and is
    totally meaningless.

The snotty salesman refused to follow me out into the red blob towards
the GA border, easily within the map's coverage area for a little PTT
test back to the office. Even my offer to eat his sneaker and $100
    wouldn't pry him out from behind that counter.....(c;

I just noticed that Verizon Wireless has taken the ad for PTT off their
home page and replaced it with a camera phone (now there's a useful
phone if I ever saw one). Only one small link to find out about PTT.
Hmmmmm- Nextel sues Verizon, and two days later, their 'super hot,
better than the rest' PTT isn't worthy of front page advertisement
    anymore. Coincidence?
