Yes, I'm sure if you call Nextel's billing dept. someone will be
able to explain it. In this news group, however; it is highly
doubtful anyone can. Duh.

Yep! your first month + the next month, throw in a few mistakes,some taxes
and access charges..welcome to NEXTEL! Also..forget about trying to get that
one month upfront back when you quit, they try their best to absorb that.
They did that to me (I won) but they made me work for it....Eddie

Mine was for $685. They charged by mistake for every call. I called their
customer service and got it quickly corrected.

customer service and got it quickly corrected.

Your first bill comes "pro rated" which basically means they charge you for
2 months in one bill. Sort of like charging you a month in advance.

That wasn't the case here. They charged me for EVERY call, 10 cents a
minute. I was nowhere near using my 300 anytime minutes. It was an error,
they admitted it and they took it off the bill. My corrected bill was in the
$40 range.

That wasn't the case here. They charged me for EVERY call, 10 cents a
