Supposedly it's official release date is Nov. 1st, but some folks say it's out
to a select few vendors and what not mid Oct. At first from what I was reading
it was at first thought to cost $250(?). Though now people are saying $300 and
    up.

depending on your nextel retailer, you can get an i730 for $225 with a
new contract, or to buy it out right, it will be an additional $100 plus
tax on both prices I've quoted.

I got the Nextel guy to show me the phone from the back (he isn't
supposed to bring them out here in houston until monday). It is
thinner than the i95, but about a half centimenter longer. It has a
huge speaker on the back that looks ripe to short out in the first
rainstorm. It has GPS capabilities that can be used with a laptop
    mapping program.

all in all, a pretty cool phone with a nice fake metallic casing. I
    am going to get one.
