Re: New Plans and Phones posted
FYI... You will need a new SIM for your new Falcon series phones... and
in order to cut over your memory you will need to have it code
plugged... So much for backward compatibility. I have the power point
pres from Nextel for the Falcon product line... The i830 (camera phone)
and the i930 (pda/camera) these are awesome products... the i730 is only
mid-high tier.

Re: New Plans and Phones posted
I was suprised and disappointed that the new phones are not compatible with
the i60 series SIM cards. They should be! Nextel charged me $50 for each SIM
I ordered.$12 shipping! for a .009 ounce object! hehheheheh
Customer Rape it is!

Re: New Plans and Phones posted
Still no plans that come close to the $54.99 Breakthrough 10000 several months ago.
But, I guess with Verizon's PTT a flop there is no driving reason to cut prices.

This is the way the old i1000+ worked. I always throught it was
strange that they removed it in my i90c.

Re: New Plans and Phones posted
What numbers are you referencing for VZW's PTT being a flop?

Re: New Plans and Phones posted
Yep..I have the Breakthru 10,000 also...super plan even if it doesn't
have nationwide PTT. I would never come close to 10 bucks a month at 10
cents per min if I did use it occasionally.
I may change my wife's plan though, but the idea of the 2 year contract
extension pisses me off. So I may not do it for that reason

Well, according to the i1000+ sitting next to me on the desk.. no.
It times out back to Phone Ready after a time that is
non-programmable on the 1000, but which *is* programmable on the 90,
the 95 and I think the 60.

No, that's the way your dealer programmed it. By default, it defeults
to Phone Ready. It's a simple change in the Dealer Software, but out
of the box, default is Phone ready.
To e-mail me, remove theobvious from my e-mail address.
