Has anyone ordered the new 730 phone?
Waiting for reviews to see if the $$$$ is worth the upgrade.

Re: Anyone order new 730?
I was in the Nextel Store today buying a holster for my i90c. While I was
there four people came in & bought the phone. (730) One person even came in
& bought the new i205.
I understand that the store sold all of their alottment of their 730's &
won't have anymore until a week from this Thursday.

Re: Anyone order new 730?
Took the plunge today. Some cool additions to the i95 but of course in
true Motorola sytle the plug on the bottom is different. Not totally
different buy just enought that you have to use an i730 car charger,
home charger and programming cable. Not bad for marketing and
stimulating accessory sales, but a real bummer if you have all of these
items for your i90/i95/i85/i88 etc. The body of the phone is similar to
the v60, metal back door and not as rugged feeling as the i95. Just
don't drop it.
Good luck!

Re: Anyone order new 730?
You can still use the Condor series Data Cable on the i730. Take some
needle nose pliers and carefully snap/break that little black thing that's
in the way... the cable will work just fine for both phones after you get
rid of the black thing. I just modded all my cables today.. Including the
one I had for my palm pilot. The hell if I was gonna spend $50 more for a
cable for my palm pilot :-D works like a charm.. Save money and use your old
stuff on the new phones.

Re: Anyone order new 730?
oh yea.. this goes for all accessories. I plan on modding my remote
speaker/mic when I get home, as I know it will work cause a friend modded
his today and verified that it still worked...
The car charger/home charger is another story. Since there are only two
pins on the home charger that comes with the phone, I'm leery to try to use
my condor charger on the falcon phone. Not that I'd have to cause I have
the home charger which I probably won't ever use, cause I have 5 batteries
that I "jumble" and 3 desktop chargers that I charge them in :-)
anyway... have fun modding your plugs (just not the charger ones)

How about the chargers? It looks like the i730 uses different pins for
charging.
Thanks for the info...

Re: Anyone order new 730?
Nope, I wouldn't mess with the chargers for the exact reason you just
mentioned. I forgot to put that in the original post, and made a 2nd post
right afterwards :-)

Re: Anyone order new 730?
FYI
atleast one of the pins ( a charging pin ) has been moved to different
places on the falcon edge connector...
ripping posts off your old accessories may not be a good idea. try using
your data cable and plug the inline charger into it and let me know if the
phone smokes...
