To be precise, "Oakland" is one of the top 100 markets, and includes both
Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Dublin is in Alameda County, and is thus
in a top 100 market.

To be precise, "Oakland" is one of the top 100 markets, and includes both

Verizon's coverage in the Tri-Valley is significantly poorer than Cingular and
ATTWS, which have the best overall coverage in this area, with Cingular having
a small edge over ATTWS. Verizon used to be even worse than Sprint PCS, but
is now in 3rd place overall.

If anything that would be a legacy of the old PacBell PCS days, but there
doesn't seem to be any real truth to that story, since coverage isn't
noticeably different from other parts of the Bay Area.

Cingular's coverage is generally good in those areas, albeit varying from spot
to spot, just like other carriers.
