I watch the Sat morning finance shows on FOX news. One of the shows (the
cost of freedom, Bulls & Bears or one of them), was talking about wireless
stocks. One analyst said that he had just ended his "abusive" relationship
with ATT Wireless and actually said that "their service sucks so bad." He
said he switched to Verizon. I was surprised that he said that on a
national cable program, but he must have been really annoyed with ATT. He
also said that ATT offered him $150 to stay as a customer and sign up for 2
more years - he said no way. The two companies that got positive reviews
(from an investor point of view) were Verizon and Nextel. They said that
Sprint was too small and had an unstable parent company - also said that the
coverage was too small. They said that Nextel was making money and although
Verizon had $30 billion in debt, they had the best service and would gain
from number portability. Didn't even mention Stinkular or T-imobile.

Where is he located???????????????????????????????????????
That annalist is ignorant in making those statements unless
he gives an idea of where he is talking about.
Someone that makes blanket statements on a national
TV show like that, because his local experience, needs fired.
That is my opinion, nothing more nothing less.

Re: FOX News Trashed ATT Wireless
Why would it matter where he's located?
No one should ever be annoyed with a company's service.
Even a poll made by AT&T said their CS sucks donkey's ass.
I ported my service to a different provider and while the number was ported
not AT&T still says that I still have service with them with the same number
and that they're going to send me the bill for usage up to Friday plus
cancellation fee because I was still under contract. I know my contract
ended Nov. 15th and the phone number ported completely on Tuesday, and they
don't even see that in their system. What gives? What a bunch of
nincompoop!!!
Those who have not had problem with AT&T has either just been lucky or work
for them in some way. Wait and see. Mark my words.

Re: FOX News Trashed ATT Wireless
It's no better with VZW. I constantly have trouble withtheir billing and
them trying to slip one by me etc. The only company I've ever done business
with (wireless) that didn't pull that crap was US Cellular. If I ddin't need
service in MN they'd be first choice. VZ just frustrates the s%^t out of me.

Re: FOX News Trashed ATT Wireless
I know of people who have had billing nightmares with nearly all the
carriers. (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile)
I'm convinced that the level of service between them isn't all that
great other than the awful "Claire" IVR system that Sprint uses. And
that Sprint makes it so difficult to actually speak to a human being.
So I pick carriers based on coverage and price, but primarily
coverage.
