    With the first Nextel "Shin" (True" Smartphone being a Microsoft-Powered
    Smartphone, some of you are going to be pissed about the fact that the
    i930 will be Windows Powered. Because this could be a big deal to a lot
    of Nextel loyalists IMO, I would like to share some thoughts with you.

    If you had a choice of a Nextel-Friendly Smartphone, and if you had a
    freedom of choice to choose an operating system for a Nextel-Friendly
    Smartphone, what OS would you want on your Nextel-Friendly Smartphone?

    * Microsoft Windows-Based
    * Research in Motion Blackberry OS
    * Palm OS
    * Symbian OS
    * Unix-Based Smartphone OS

    Reason why I'm doing this is because I'm pissed about the fact that the
    i930 is going to be a Windows-Powered Smartphone. Nextel should offer
    Symbian and Palm Powered Smartphones in addition to the Nextel-Equipped
    Blackberries lurking around the market. Do you think Nextel would
    benefit from a Palm-Powered, iDEN-Friendly Smartphone?

    Re: Nextel Smartphones

    Being an innovator, I would like to see a PalmSource Licensee make a
    deal with Nextel to provide a Nextel-Friendly Smartphone so that I can
    get "rid" of my Tungsten C and just rely on the beauty of the Nextel
    iDEN Phone with the robustness of the Palm OS Handheld in one......

    It would kick a lot of ass if I saw the first Palm-Powered Nextel
    Smartphone ensue on the iDEN Market....

    Easy for me, Palm OS. Right now I carry a Blackberry, a Nextel i95cl and
    occasionally my Palm. I still dream of an all-in-one device that this
    is reasonably sized.

    Re: Poll: Nextel Smartphones

    a Nextel/Palm combination would rock! RIM and MS are weak. I'd be
    all over a palm nextel.
