Gentlemen (and of course ladies)

Last week I posted an issue, where I found that with my Jabra BT200 (nice
piece of kit), and my Nokia 6600 I was getting VERY inferior talk time with
the Jabra (LESS than 20 minutes per charge!)

Previously, with my Jabra BT200 and Nokia 3650, or 6310i, I had power ALL
DAY, and talk time of about 2.5-3 hours (collectivly) before a recharge of
the Jabra was required.

I never received any replies :-(, so was thinking that maybe I was the ONLY
one with this problem??

Mailed Jabra (who are always quick to respond), and they have released a
general statement (Statement 031219 - N6600 & JABRA.pdf).

It states "There is a known issue of inferior battery life when using the
Jabra BT200, Jabra BT250, along with the Nokia 6600".

"It has been identified, by the suppliers of the Bluetooth chip, that the
Nokia 6600 does not go into "powersave" (sniff) mode when used with the
Jabra BT200/BT250. This results in extra battery consumption of the unit.
This has been reported to Nokia, but there is no fix at present, and Nokia
have not progressed to resolve this issue".

Trust this information may? be of use to anyone, that may have a similar
problem.

Cheers
