Nokia 5165 and help for a newbie

I have had this phone for a number of years. I have just basic service
I think. I have heard people download ringtones. I am stuck with what
is already programed on the phone. Could someone explain to me if it
is possible to download these on my phone and how to do it? ALso, is
it possible to find wav. music files on the net and convert it to a
ringtone?

HI, I used to have a Nokia 5165 and you can download ringtones. I believe
you only get 5 ringtones which are under Personal in your ringtones. There
is a web site that I can give you that is easy and free to download
ringtones.

When You go to the site pick a ringtones you like be sure that it is in the
rttl format.
Then copy that put it in the white box and convert
then I believe you put your phone # and what service you have if it is at&t,
cingular, ect.
when it is sent to your phone it will say ringtones received.
you can playback the ringtone or save it. a wala.. a ringtone is made.
I am not sure if you can make your own ringtones. I have been asking that
question before. I also want to know on my Nokia 2260 cuz it is almost like
the Nokia 5165 in a way but smaller and have a little more features than
that one.
