Sorry, its a bit OT (as its not really a nokia prob)
Just got one of these on virgin, have tried downloading via WAP ringtones
that are in .mid and .mmf format but all the phone says is incompatible
format (
A friend tried to SMS a midi file he had on his nokia to me, and although
the phone received the SMS it didnt recognise it as a ringtone, and the
message was just displayed as a load of gobbly gook (funny symbols, the odd
letter and numbers).
Ive even tried Coding Workshop Polyphonic Wizard loaded a .mid file and
selected sagem as my phone, i then connect to the wap URL it gives, with my
phone fine, i select to download the tone, but the phone still says
Incompatible Format (and similar errors ( )
Can someone Please, Please tell me what EXACTLY what format/s the Sagem
MY-X2 accepts tones in???
Perhaps a link with the phones DETAILED tech specs may be useful, (all i
can find is stuff that says Hi-fi ringtones WTF are they spose to be if
there not midi or mmf files??) also while im here, what wallpaper formats
does it accept??? (I.E. Does it take bmp, jpeg, png, gif or what??? also
what size should the pics be???) Ive wasted god only knows how much airtime
credit already and dont have a single ringtone to show for it ( So any
clever peeps able to help??
