Hi all,
I have recently been given a whole load of ringtones and most of them sound
really good on my PC but when I move them to my 7250i a lot of them sound
terrible, with missing notes and some have missing tracks. Is there a way to
get the midi files to sound as good as they do on my PC?
I realise that the midi files use the wavetable that comes with the phone
and windows and they are both different which is why they sound different
but surely the ringtones were made for phones and not PCs. Anyway.....
Thanks for any help you can give
Shiva

Hi - you generally will need to tweak these files by hand in order to cut
them down to something the phone can play on its limited hardware. This is
relatively easy with the right software. PolyPhonix Studio (from my web
site below) is designed specifically to do this on your phone and also
includes a direct upload facility from within the software.
The help file contains a lot of details on the sorts of modifications you
need to make to get it to play on the 7250i, but if you need help, feel free
to contact me directly.
