Wondering why you'd want to do that ? .3GP is a rather grotty source
format to convert into anything else.

    > Thx in advance...

BTW .3GP movies can be played directly on a Windows PC using QuickTime or
    RealPlayer.

How to convert .3GP movies, taken with your Nokia 3650, into .AVI:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    >>> Convert 3gp to RAW avi with the 3gpToRawAvi converter:

    Method 1 (with User Interface):

    - Get the 3gpToRawAvi converter:

    here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/downl...gpToRawAvi.zip 1.13MB
    or here: http://kamer1.com/jos/3gpToRawAvi.zip 1.13MB

Unzip 3gpToRawAvi.zip and place folder '3gpToRawAvi' somewhere on your pc.

    - Then get the User Interface for 3gpToRawAvi:

    http://digilander.libero.it/heracleu...nvert3gpEN.zip 3kB

Unzip files into the '3gpToRawAvi' folder and execute Convert3gp.vbs. Then
choose a .3gp file from your computer to covert to avi.

    Done.

    Method 2 (without User Interface):

    - Get the 3gpToRawAvi converter:

    here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/downl...gpToRawAvi.zip 1.13MB
    or here: http://kamer1.com/jos/3gpToRawAvi.zip 1.13MB

Unzip 3gpToRawAvi.zip and move folder '3gpToRawAvi' to, for instance,
    C:\3gpToRawAvi.

Move a .3gp movie file you want to convert to the same folder
    (C:\3gpToRawAvi).

Then go to the dos window:
    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Click on Run
    3. Type in "cmd" and click OK to display the dos window
    4. If you're not in C:\> go to C:\> by typing "c:" followed by Enter
    5. In C:\> go to C:\3gpToRawAvi> by typing "cd 3gpToRawAvi" followed by
    Enter
    6. In C:\3gpToRawAvi> type "3gptorawavi <videoname> -o <outputname>"
    followed by Enter
Note: Replace <videoname> with the .3gp file name without the .3pg
    extension and <outputname> with the
..avi file name of your choice. Eg. "3gptorawavi Video1 -o Video2"
    7. The new raw avi file will be placed in the same folder.

Note: A bit of experimentation shows that, on XP anyway, 3gpToRawAvi won't
work if it's folder, or any of it's parent folders
have a space in the name. For instance if 3gpToRawAvi is in "D:\documents
and settings\" or in any folder
within "D:\documents and settings\" then you'll get an error when you try
    to run it.

    Done.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    >>> Convert 3gp to RAW avi with the Akiles 3gp to avi converter:

    - Get the Akiles 3gp to avi converter:

    here: http://www.mitsoftware.com/akiles/3gptoavi2.zip 840kB (Sound
    conversion supported.)

    here: http://www.mitsoftware.com/akiles/3gptoavi.zip 335kB (No sound
    conversion supported.)

Run the program from C:\example. Where example is whatever u choose to call
the folder but it can't have spaces in it.
Then select a .3gp source file, select an .avi filename and click Convert.
The 3gp and avi file's folders or paths can't have spaces either.

More info about the Akiles 3gp to avi converter here:
    http://www.mitsoftware.com/akiles

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    >>> Convert 3gp to avi with QuickTime:

Get QuickTime Pro 6.3 at http://www.apple.com
And download the (extra) QuickTime codec for 3gp here:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/3gpp.
Open your .3gp movies in QuickTime Player and convert them to .avi or .mov.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    - A RAW avi file is pretty big! (a 10 sec movie is about 3.5 MB!)
So to make a RAW avi file more user friendly you'll have to convert it to
    DivX!:

Get the VirtualDub video converter here: http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net.
Install and launch it (just extract all files to a folder and run the
    virtualdub.exe).

Open the Videoclip that you want to convert, File->Open video file.
    Select under Video->Fast recompress.
    Select under Audio->Full processing.
Select Video->Compression and select a codec you want to use (use DivX 4
    for best compatibility).
Select Audio->Compression (MPEG Layer-3 is most common).
    And last hit File->Save AVI.

Now the file size of a 10 sec movie should be around 380kB.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And ofcourse now you can also convert to MPEG. There are dozens of programs
for that, just use a searchengine.
    I found this app: http://www.winmpg.com (try p2p).

Unfortunately neither of which seem to work with my 6230, but QuickTime
plays them ok, but only in a condensed screen.
