Thought I'd share this with people so they would'nt have to pay a cent for
RingTones...
You are able to make your own RingTones with the Nokia Suite and here's how.
Note: I have a Nokia 6800 phone
1. Download the MIDI version of the song you want from the Internet. There
are multiple sites that offer thousands of songs in Midi format.
2. Get a program that edits Midi files. Go to CNet.com and look for one of
these (Music MasterWorks is the one I use).
3. Edit the Midi file and save the sections you want to be played as a
RingTone. Save the file as a .midi file.
4. Open up the Nokia Sound Converter in the Nokia Suite and choose to edit
the Midi in 'Advanced Mode'.
5. Select the channels you want and choose 'Play Selected Channels'.
6. Next, on the selected channels, change the column labeled 'User' to a
value less than or equal to 4 (This probably varies from phone to phone).
Just make sure the selected row is a green color.
7. Preview the sound (Pre-play as Played in Phone). Keep it if you like or
change it.
8. Upload to phone, and you're done.
This may seem like alot of work but it's better than playing money!
