I am wondering if anyone knows anything about the Treo 600 being available
in Canada yet. I am using Rogers AT&T. It sure looks like a sweet unit, so I
am wondering if anyone has any feedback.
    Thanks in advance.

Not yet. Just talked to Rogers AT&T. They are offering the Tungsten W for
$399.99 and a "major Treo product offering next month"..

    Re: TREO 6000 SMARTPHONE

    King,
I currently have a Palm and was looking at the Palm Tungsten C or W. But
hey, I keep getting asked: "are you happy to see me?" - my pockets are
bulging from all the stuff I need to carry. I happened across the Treo and
thought my problems would be solved. So far, I have heard nothing but good
things, I have $600 burning in my jeans, so when can I buy this thing? As
for my current Rogers AT&T service, I guess that means I have to rip up my
existing contract? .....Or just pay the big bucks for the phone itself.
Damn, I'm buying this over the new Ping golfclubs......will have to wait
another month for the clubs. Oh well, convergence is a wonderful thing!!!

Friendly caution: Have you had a Rogers data plan in the past? I did,
    and it was pretty unreliable.

It might just be the area I live in, but you might want to try to
investigate before dropping $400 on a phone on the assumption it will
    work well.

This is a single band phone so there is no roaming. Great if you stay in
your home area but just a plain pda is you are not.

    $400.00 sounds like a steal!!!
Not really going to be using it for data. I do appreciate the input tho'.
    Any other problems you anticipate?

If it meets your requirements, sure. If not, it's $400 wasted.

No, that's my only worry. If you're not worried about data and the phone
is compatible with the network -- which it must be if you can get it on
    contract -- you're golden.

    > "Any sufficiently advanced TECHNOLOGY is indistinguishable from MAGIC."

I know that one... Arthur C. Clarke. This is a quote I ran across
recently and really like. It kind of goes with the old one I used to
believe, which was "Never attribute to malice that which can be
    adequately explained by incompetence."
