    Hello!

I bought a Nokia 6600 recently, and I've been reasonably happy with it,
despite the few software bugs. However, I am having a problem selecting
ringtones and I haven't seen anyone mention it at all. I'm wondering if I
    got a faulty phone...

My problem is this: I uploaded a few MIDIs (both standard PC MIDIs and
downloadable ringtone MIDIs) through bluetooth to the appropriate
sounds/tones folder. When editing a profile, I can select any of them as
ringtone. I can hear any of them nicely when selecting, as well as in the
phone's media player. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. However,
when I actually get a call, it's the built-in "Nokia tune.mid" tone that
plays. If I select a built-in tone, it plays as it's supposed to. But any
non-built-in, uploaded MIDI just gets ignored and I get the Nokia tune yet
    again.

I've tried with several MIDIs and it's always the same. I've tried
uploading a small digital ringtone and that one *does* work. My phone
doesn't seem to like my MIDIs!

    Any ideas? Any suggestions?
Has anyone had this problem too?

(Sorry if it's been discussed previously, although I have "googled for it")

    Thanks in advance!

    Joao Gil

Make sure they're in the Sound Files/Digital Sounds folder in your phone
    memory.

    Hi!

Yes, it works now! Was I being that dumb sending MIDIs to the ringtone
folder? (Not sure what its English name is, I've got my phone in
    Portuguese)
I merely thought Digital Sounds were meant for WAV/MP3/AWB files... Oh
    well! :P

    Thanks a lot!

I thought that was the case as well, but when I put a couple of awb files in
there it defaulted to the Nokia tune when ringing :-(
