Ok, firstly hello again guys, its been a long long time...!

I'm getting a Nokia 7250i on UK Vodafone (contract) tomorrow, although as
I'm porting my number, i won't be using the contract for another few days.

Does anyone have any comments about the 7250i ?

    Cheers, Neil.

Inrespect of what? Personally i dont like it, the screen isn't much cop, the
tones are rubbish, connectivity is limited (IR simply doesnt work well, and
it doesnt have bluetooth. Tried to IR a tone from my Z600 to 7250i and it
wouldnt work, tried from my Ipaq and it still wouldnt work)

Shame it's only got 4096 colours, but it seems ok for free on a sub
    £25 price plan.

I personally don't like the phone. Too small, looks too childish. Camera's
quality is awful, lacks connectivity, the screen is horrible. Nice big blur
playing bounce but then it's only a personal opinion. Much rather keep my
7650 but these are two totally different phones.

Sendo X is god of all phones. I want it. Anybody have an expected release
    date?

Orange are flogging 'em at £129.99 now on PAYG - just about sums them up.
IMHO the 6610 or 6100 are better handsets altogether.

They were, but appear to have put the price up to £159.99 now.

I've had one for 3 months (upgraded from an 8310) and I'm very pleased with
it (controversially it would appear). Uploading tones etc. has been very
simple with the new Nokia software, I've got all sorts of Java apps on it
    too and it's generally excellent.

The camera quality is pretty crappy, but if I wanted decent quality photos
I'd take my Digital Ixus out instead. It's great for snaps while you're out
    drinking with your mates.

Text messaging is very fast and responsive too.

I'm very satisfied with mine. Used a few T610's and prefer this to it by far
    (particularly where text is concerned).

    Rich.

Like most Nokia phones, the IR is crippled to a point where it will only
accept incoming connections from Nokia PC Suite or a vCard.

Thought as much. They should be allowed to do that, after all the phone is
advertised as having an IR connection. Infact its listed in the phone specs
on their website, although it doesnt say that its pretty much unusable for
anything other than their own software.

    Agreed.
Interested that you prefer the 7650 for connectivity as I have trouble with bluetooth on mine (and it has been replaced).
Is there any trick to getting this working that you've found ?

Regarding the 7650 and bluetooth I've never had a problem. Sending files to
nokia n-gage is effortless but I only use IRDA with my laptop.

Do you have the latest firmware and nokia pc suite?

Dan - I'm not too sure, how would I tell ?
Orange tel me that there are no updates outstanding for my phone - dunno if I can believe them, though !
Bluetooth file transfer seems to work okay, but then IR file transfer works fine so I wouldn't need bluetooth just for that.
What really 'gets my goat' is that, after having a whole string of Nokia phones using the same in-car kits, I took the plunge and
paid dearly to go for this modern bluetooth arrangement. Since then, I've had no in-car facility. Now its a legal requirement.
Neither Nokia nor Orange seem very interested in helping with this.
    Cheers,
    Kevin.
