Hi -
I just got an N-Gage for XMas, and I have a Mac. It looks like the entire
N-Gage software suite is PC-only (and Win 98 and later, at that!), probably to
take advantage of the more recent version of Windows Explorer...
Question is, isn't there any other way to transfer my .SIS files over to the
N-Gage from my Mac? Or do I have to bring it in to work and hope that the
Nokia PC Suite doesn't require admin priveleges (i.e. I'm completely screwed)?
Thanks in advance for ANY help,
-barry

Thanks!! I'm new to this - I'd never heard the word "Bluetooth" until a few
days ago, so I hadn't thought of that. I've found a Bluetooth adapter for
Win/Mac for US $40 - do you use a Macintosh also? I'm just curious what
software you use (on the Mac side) to do this...
Thanks again!!

Re: Nokia N-Gage data transfer question
If you have Bluetooth on the Mac, you can just browse to the N-Gage inbox
and copy the files into the inbox, where they appear as messages. You can
then open the message to install the SIS file.

Huh? I've got a Mac mouse with two buttons and a roller. Not sure what
you're talking about there.

No problem, you already did - thanks for the info on bluetooth, I'll definitely
go that route as soon as I recover from XMas spending. In the meantime I
wasn't able to install the "PC Suite" on my work computer (it's a NASA machine,
probably don't want to do that anyway) but I was able to transfer some files
with Windows Explorer. Sure would be nice if some of the N-Gage software
developers included a little documentation with their work... I'm trying to get
a few emulators to run on the NG (like the NES one from Yewsoft) and I don't
think I placed all the ROM files in the correct folder.
I'll give it another shot tomorrow. In the meantime, thanks again for the
help, I've already got my MAC Bluetooth adapter (that supports file transfer)
picked out.
