    hi!

i got an (old) nokia 6310i from a friend so now i have 3
    nokia phones :-)
(6310, 3200 and 6310i). it took some time before it
behaved properly with my laptop, bluetooth and cable,
but now it's working perfectly as my old trusty 6310.

nokia pc-suite 4.5 didn't work with it so i downloaded
the 4.88. well, it works, but then nothing else will
work (oxygen, logomanager cellular etc...) because
pc-suite won't release its grip of my only com-port by
any means. i really really tried a lot...maybe someone
    has a solution to this?

    so i uninstalled pc-suite 4.88. i recovered everything
bad i have said about nokia software (and thats a lot)
once again in my mind struggling with pc-suite 4.88.
nokia, as everyone certainly knows, has no clue about
making software, they never had and they never will as
    it seems :-(
(yes i do have the latest firmware in my 6310i, v.5.51)

now my old but good logomanager-version works fine with
the cable. unfortunately it doesn't support bluetooth,
but i can live with that (or without it as you might
    say).

then oxygen II is another story.
    i have a family-license for 3 phones. i never used but
one phone, the 6310, with it and thought about
installing my 6310i. now taking the trouble to get the
people at oxygen to give me another license was too
much. it wouldn't give it automatically (license
expired, as it said!) and as i understood from their
website, i have to pay for the license for the second
    phone.

ok... so i uninstalled oxygen from my laptop and will
    not look back, ever.

the managing of a phone with a laptop isn't that
important. i maybe use this possibility once or twice a
year so i need a software which hasn't expired every
time i try to use it. now for this rare occasion i just
wanted to put my own picture instead of the nokia
welcome-animation and of course my own operator logo.
these things done, thanks to logomanager, i will use it
next time when i, in a distant future, get a new phone
    again.

i wrote this to share my experiences with phone-managing
and possible problems when getting a new phone.

    cheers,

    asta

The latest version of logomanager does support Bluetooth and if yours is a
registered version the upgrade ids free

I have no connection with logomanager except as a very happy customer
