Pisidan, can you post the file, zipped or otherwise, as this binary you
have posted is a bit of a fiddle to recompile (unless you could tell me
how to do it!). Thanks.

Unlocking
I have just ordered a 6600 it should be with me Monday or Tuesday, and I
want to unlock it.
I have found loads of people that will do it even some that will do it for
free.
But the all ask for my IMEI number? Is there not a security risk releasing
this number?
As in people using the number to reprogram their stolen phone and being able
to unlock it?

Re: Unlocking
I have never actually seen this done but have heard that people can change
the numbers. Just make sure you use somebody that's been around for a while.
We are offering certain models to be unlocked free for a limited period @

Re: Unlocking
Why not just unlock your 6600 yourself then! I did and it only took about 10
mins and that included finding the web page, downloading the software and
reading through the instruction! So if I give you a link to the instructions
page and software link it should be unlocked in a jiffy!
Right then, the software can be found at;
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/danluik...m_DCT4_1.4.zip
How to use the software can be found at;
http://www.unlockme.co.uk/dct4free.html
**** IMPORTANT - As you're unlocking a 6600, select Lock Type in the
software to 5 ****

Both the IMEI number and operator code are required to generate the unlock
code.
>Is there not a security risk releasing this number?
In the UK there is a huge risk to you since they could be bastards and
report your phone stolen which would put your IMEI on the national black-
list. You really should just unlock it yourself; see
http://www.unlockme.co.uk/ or http://www.unlocksmith.com/

Re: Unlocking
I use John Rymer of Unlocking Ireland on www.unlockingireland.com He is
completely trustworthy and offers a rapid service. I have sent him
phones like the Nokia 9210 to unlock so he has had his hands on some
expensive phones for me.
I have no connection with him whatsoever, other than being a very
satisfied customer.

Re: Unlocking
Just by knowing the IMEI number doesnt pose a major security risk.
For reporting a phone as stolen you dont just need the IMEI number but
additional info which isnt avaiable to unlockers.....
