My Nokia car charger stopped working (I tested my wife's and it is my
charger). Should I just buy a new one, or are they repairable?

Buy a new one. For some Nokia's you can find them in the $1 stores. In
general you can get them on ebay usually with something you don't
want, like a case. But the replacement cost would be about $6 with
    shipping through an ebay auction.

See if the base/top end unscrews .. most do .. inside is a small glass tube
fuse .. I've had one blow before for no obvious reason .. replaced and its
still going to this day .. vibration from being in the car might take its
    toll on it ..

    Re: Car charger question

These things rarely fail. Check the fuse before replacing. Often you just
unscrew the tip to get at it.
