Re: Help with Vodafone mail!!
If you'd scolled down the group a few posts you'd have spotted this reply to
my post.
Follow the instructions carefully and u'll notice that u cannot use the
normal WAP access point, you need another access point.
Note that the new Access Point you create is also the one you should use for
the Opera Browser. So if your emails still not working try the opera
browser with the new access point you create, if that works then its
something in your email settings, if not it in your access point - just use
any page to test opera, bbc.co.uk will do fine.
Oh and also make sure u've set the outgoing server IP correctly. Ignore
anything else you've seen and use the IP address Mario sent.
I take no credit for this, apart from bothering to respond )
Hope it works to you, mine's working excellent now !!
Good Luck
Martin

the Vodafone WAP access point won't work, that is only a WAP access
point. You need to create a full access point. To do this, follow
this:
1. Go to Tools, Settings, Connection, Access Points
2. Press Options, select New access point, Use existing settings
3. Select Vodafone WAP in the list.
4. Change the Connection name to: Vodafone Internet
5. Change the Access point name to: internet
6. Change the User name to: web
7. Change the Password to: web
Leave all other settings the same. Now go to your email settings, and
set it to use the "Vodafone Internet" Access point, and you should be
away. Oh one more piece of advice, set the Outgoing server to
212.183.156.230
All the Best,
Mario
