N6600 mp3 ringtones?

I'm sure I saw somewhere that u can use mp3 files as ringtones on Nokia6600.

Do I need an app
What format do they have to be in
What folder do you put them in in PCSuite

Just use PC suite to copy them over to your phone - it will convert them.
They live in the "\sound files\digital sounds" folder - can't recall if it
drops them there by default or if you have to manually put them there.

It converts them to mono 4bps .wav files - plenty good enough for a
ringtone. I have found that the start sometimes screws up, so I drop an mp3
onto the phone, copy back the .wav file and edit it so I get the bit of the
music I want as the ringtone - then drop it back onto the phone
