7250! Internet conection via laptop?

Hi all

I have just bought this phone so I can check my mail via Outlook Express on
my laptop while im away from home.
My laptop is running Win98. It's only got a serial connection. No USB or
INFRARED connection. I have installed the driver for it from the NOKIA
website and have bought a data serial cable. I am able to connect to the
phone and up/download ringtones etc etc to/from the phone but can not get it
to act as a modem so I can connect to the internet. I can connect to the net
if I just use the phone on its own. I believe that the cable I have use's
f/bus. Can anyone recommend a serial data cable that will allow me to use
the phone as a modem. At the moment, when I try to do a diagnostic on the
modem from my laptop it tell's me it's not responding and the phones screen
goes bright white.

Hi,

get a serial to USB converter and get a USB DKU-5 cable.
or get a serial infrared device to connect you phone to laptop
