Anybody know how to resolve these problems?

    1) Nokia PC Suite does not recognize my bluetooth card so when it
installs, the option to install the bluetooth component of PC Suite is
greyed out and I'm left with only IR. The IR works fine and I'm able
to sync but trying to connect via BT using the Nokia Connection
Manager just gives the pop-up box that says "Unknown error"
    * I don't think there are any hardware issues, I can transfer files
using OBEX, connect to the internet via dial-up networking (getting
~80kbps), etc... with no problems. It's just connecting through PC
    Suite that gives me trouble.
    * I know there are other problems with the PC Suite version that
shipped w/ the phone on the CD so I've downloaded the PC Suite
version off the Nokia site but still having the same BT problems.
    * Nokia support said that they are not supporting the 6820 until April
so they have no samples to test with, blaming AT&T for shipping it too
    early.
    * Can the installer be hacked using a hex editor to recognize my BT
    device?
    Configuration:
TDK PCMCIA Bluetooth card firmware version 524
    BT Stack 1.4.2.18
Windows XP Pro w/ latest updates

    2) When trying to connect the 6820 with my iPaq 2210 via BT, I just
get the "rejected for security reasons" error displayed on the phone.

    * A few other people have posted about this problem on the net but I
    have not found any fixes.
    * Changing the encryption settings doesn't seem to do anything.

Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. I got it fixed by uninstalling the Bluetooth
card and PC Suite. Then just installing the Bluetooth card and getting
the phone and card linked. After that I installed the PC Suite and it
works. You just have to make sure you select the correct com port, it
was 4 on my XP laptop. I haven't gotten it to remember the com port
yet so everytime I sync I need to select the port.

I had the same problem. Found this link to another version in another
    forum:

    http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,6771,49784,00.html

This version solved the problem. I can now sync with Outlook 2K and
other PC functions (file transfer, modem, etc.) seem to work as well.

    Good Luck!

Re: Nokia 6820 - Problems with Bluetooth

Right, I also found PC suite 5.7 connecting much easier than the previous
versions, but PC suite 6.0 poses a big problem again. Sometimes it finds my
phone, but mostly it doesn't. The only thing that helps me is to re-install the
PC suite software, than always 1 time it connects immediately without problems
(proving it is a software problem and not a hardware or bluetooth problem), but
after that, 9 out of 10 days it doesn't find my phone again.
I must say I am very disappointed with this software. The phone itself is great,
but Nokia doesn't seem capable of writing this kind of connection software and
also the functionality of the PC software is very limited. It's really nothing
compared to a real PIM package (such as Lotus organizer or Act). And they claim
to be able to sync with Lotus, but this really fails. If it succeeds to connect,
it will soon tell you the phone's memory is full, while I am still using only a
    fraction of its shared memory.
So, I think Nokia still has a long way to go...
    Regards, paul.
