My 6600 is acting very strange, over the last couple of days it will
randomly turn itself off while it is on charge. Then when i try to
turn it on it only a white screen comes up, not even the nokia splash
screen then its like this for 10 secs and turns off again. I got lucky
yday and it turned on properly after a few hours. There are a couple
apps on the phone not MMC card, but only stnadard one, no autoexec.
ANy Ideas?
Thanx
Jai

That seems like it may be the cause of the problem... I've been using
a different charger and not the original. Didnt think it would cause a
problem. What did you do in the end? Do i have to get it reflashed at
a service centre. Think im still in 28 days from purchase so might
just take it back and say the phones faulty... Any one else had this
problem?
Thanx

If you stop using the non 6600 charger, it should operate normally..
There is currently no updated firmware for the 6600, yet. Tho, having said
that, I use a generic nokia car charger on my 6600, and it doesnt bother it
...
But I use the wall powered charger that came with it, via a desk stand, to
charge it normally ..

Re: 6600 Problem - Please help!
4 weeks ago mine started powering off just after starting up. Sometimes it
never even got that far. When it did boot the contacts list was blank. Then
it just started rebooting continuously. Took it to a repair centre and they
had to send it off to Nokia. Got it back last Thursday (2 week turn-a-round
became 3 weeks) and it all seems fine now. The phone had been reloaded
though so I had lost all the information that was on it. I've NEVER been
able to get it to communicate via bluetooth to PCS. Grrr! Anybody recommend
a reliable bluetooth adaptor for WinXP Pro?
Phil.

I'm using the Belkin adapter F8T003 (I find all their stuff reliable)
with the Nokia 6600, no problems
