there are a bunch of programs that will do this, including PhoneInfo
and FExplorer to name a few.

great thanks, this gives me the same info as GPSMap. Now on the O2
site, the OS I am with, it will not except the Cell ID number given.
http://www.webmap.o2.co.uk/
My cell ID according to both programs are 21363 Now if you type that
into the box and select Cell Site Reference it says it should be a 6
figure number , adding a 0 to the front returns an unknown number box.
Is there any other cell location map that works with the correct Cell
ID number ?
Thanks

Depending on the carrier the number can be even 3 numbers - 162 for instance.
Reading backwards on the 21363 that you mention the 3 indicates that you are on
the 3rd sector (cell sites have 3 sectors) Although the number might have had
an alpha character instead of the 3 - 2136B.
Continuing backwards then the 136 is the site ID and further backwards the 2
indicates the switch (in the instance of multiple switches in the same office)
that the cell is tied to.
Typically all this information is pretty useless to anyone except the cellular
techs and Engineers.
However, typically this information is NOT tied to any map that is available to
the public. A Microsoft Streets and Trips map is used by the carriers to
pinpoint the sites and there is a cross reference between the "Push Pins" and
the site ID.
