version 3.15
i have used data suite 6.1 to convert an mpg to the format supported by the phone.
as soon as the video clip plays past 2minute 10 seconds it freezes, but the audio continues. any clip under 2m 10s is fine.
have tried with different mpegs so it is not the files fault.
so i would assume either the phone doesnt support clips larger than 2min 10 sec or it is a software fault.
Let me know what you out there have discovered.
thanks

Its actually in the Forum Nokia site, and you need to register.
Then, when you download and install, you AGAIN need to supply your
registration details, which is very faffy, or it won't install.
So search the Forum Nokia site, not the standard nokia.com one.

i just did a google search for "nokia multimedia coverter" in google and it pointed me straight to it.
also tried a program called mpegable which was ok, it allowed more formats to be converted however i have noticed serious audio faults when converting and large files tend to freeze on playback in the phone, But quality is better. hopefully its just a setting that i have neglected to activate or set.
For now the nokia one is the way to go.
also check out the expansys forum, there are a heap more threads on the 6230 http://www.expansys.com/forum.asp?code=108417
