    Hi there,

I have a Nokia 7650 for about 1.5 years now.
When I first got it, some things were already slow like the log.
Sometimes when I open the log, it takes about 5 minutes before it
shows anything. Even when it is set to only log 1 day.

But now almost everything is slow. Sometimes when an SMS comes in, it
is in the inbox but it beeps about 5 or 10 minutes later. The log is
still very slow and everything is slower. Reading a message takes 30
    seconds before it pops up.
I have lots of free space. More then 2 megs.

Does anyone know what this is and, more important, how to solve it?

Another thing is that the standby and calltime is becoming shorter and
    shorter.
After one phonecall of about 15 minutes, I have to recharge or it will
    powerdown.
Even the warnigtones come at once now. I hear the first batlow tone.
Within 1 second the next and the powerdown tone. When I connect the
phone to the charger, it takes 15 minutes before I can restart it.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks,

    Boudewijn van Breukelen

Have you tried completely blanking the handset ?

    There's 2 thing's you can try.

First save your contact's then reformat the phone,
i did it to a friend's 7650 which had gone slow,
You format the phone memory by typing *#7370# in standby screen.
Phone will ask: "Restore all original phone settings?
Phone will restart." Press 'Yes' and enter your Lock code (default is 12345).
This will clean all date from the phone's C drive then it copies the O/S from a read only chip back to the C drive.
The phone will be just like it was when you first got it.

    Oh, i said 2 thing's. . . .

Get a new battery, they don't last forever! (as well as doing the above)

    1. Get replacement battery.
    2. With the old batt, run it down till almost empty or fully empty, then
take battery out, put in airtight (or near airtight) Ziploc bag or similar
(must be airtight as possible).. put in freezer for >8 hrs, let it warm up
in the bag with ur hands etc, once its kinda warm take it out of bag then
replace in phone and charge IMMEDIATELY. Should help. But no.1 is important.
