Infra red problems

Having problem transfering files from my PC to my phone via infra red. They
connect and I can send files from the phone (pictures etc) to the PC fine
with no problems but when I try to send files from the PC to the phone the
PC drops the infra red connection for no reason.

I have tried turning of the lights, cleaning infra pads etc. Any advice
please

You forgot to mention what phone you have.

Change setting of IR adapter to Sigmatel 4000 ; max speed 115200
might work ...
