Hi.
I've got great N6230 handset for 3 days.
It's really cool stuff but i've found few problems
which seems to be software errors.
My firmware is 3.17.
Problems:
1) Alarm clock is very, very quiet. Volume seems to be
set at 2/5 or 3/5 and I cannot find any option to change it.
The same .mid is much more louder as ring than alarm clock.
2) I couldn't upload .mp3 directly to memory card which is almost
empty. PC Suite shows whole free memory but there is no folder
of memory card. So I had to make some space in original folder
and then move it to memory card
Do anybody know how to solve that problems?
Is there any latest software for this handset?
Anyway
Thanks in advance.
Mariusz

The alarm volume progresively goes upwards, so in the final it will be very
loud.

What PC Suite version? You mean Nokia Audio Manager part from the 6.2 PC
Suite?

I experienced the same problem when trying to upload MP3 files. The memory
card suddenly appeared some time after I gave it a name (in the phone). When
it is shipped, the memory card name is blanc, I can imagine that this causes
problems in the phone suite.

Have you renamed your MMC yet? Rename it and you should be able to see other
folders and transfer any files into the MMC.

Re: Nokia 6230 - 2 Problems (alarm & memory card)
Thank all of you.
After i named MMC everything is ok. I even thought not
the transfer via IrDa was quite fast - arund 1 Mb per min.
(like FDD hihihi)
About alarm - sony erricsson's T630 speaker is little louder.
I used to have that handset and i't was impposible to oversleep.
Even the same .mid was louder.
But N6230 is much better.
Anyway.
Thanks for all
