Been trying for hours now and ready to give up.

I want to delete the "X cingular" logo I see when turning on my 6590i.
This phone isn't discussed much anywhere. I'm not interested in
buying Oxygen or LogoManager just to do this...it's not that big a
deal although you'd never guess that based on the length of time spent
on it (guess it was a challange).

I'm not sure I can even delete, or change this logo on this phone.
I've tried sending ".otb", ".ngg", ".nol", ".nsl" files via infrared
and it just doesn't work (the infrared works -- I've sent calendar
events and business cards). Maybe I have to figure out how to SMS
these.

Shall I give up? Is it possbile to delete this logo on this phone?
When I put in a different sim the service works so I could just ignore
the initial logo.

BTW, is this logo what people are calling the operator logo (although
it only displays while the phone is starting up)? I think a "startup
logo" is quite a bit larger, like the DaVince hands. And the text at
the top of the phone once on changes depending on the service
provider's sim card used.

I'd also be curious if this can be done what the file extension is for
this logo. I know ".otb" is for groups ("OT"A "B"itmap) and ".gms" is
for a picture message.

Cheers
