I'm led to believe that everyone was getting excited shortly before the
release of the 7250, but now that it's been out a while, I was wondering
what the next big phone from Nokia will be?

Is there an all-singing, all-dancing model due for release soon?

    Most of them already are..

Instead of Nokia concentrating on the school-playground. What about Nokia
doing a decent replacement for the now discontinued 6310i *business*
    orientated mobile-phone ?

    how about a 6810?

so any nokia other than the 6310i are for the playground? crap.

i've got a 6600, hardly school-playground material. it has business
features, doesn't have glow in the dark facias, flashing keypad or a
    toy camera.

But IMO it does come under the definition of 'all-singing, all-dancing
    model'.

    > it has business
    > features,

True, but it's battery life is hardly on a par with the 6310i, and how
many business users actually need a large TFT colour screen to make phone
calls, connect their laptop to the company intranet, etc.

    > doesn't have glow in the dark facias, flashing keypad

    True.

    > or a
    > toy camera.

But it's still only 640x480(VGA) rez with no flash. Most people who
actually need a camera during their business are probably going to be
using a film camera or multi-megapixel digital camera, or maybe even a
Polaroid instant camera(some surveyers use these).

Put it this way, I've never seen a company issue it's staff with
    Nokia 6600s.

3 days or so, but yes the 6310i is hard to beat for battery life!
