Im looking at getting one as an upgrade but could do with some questions
answered please;
1) How much memory does this phone come with
2) What bitrate MP3's will it play and can you use infra red to put them on
from PC
3) Can MP3's be played "loudspeaker" and can they be used as ringtones.
I also have the option of a Sony Erricson k700i, which would be the better
option.
Thanks

As much as you put in it... I have a 256MB card in mine.

Not sure about bit rates, but I *think* mine are either 128's or 192's
and they work fine. Yes you can use IR, bluetooth or a cable (or card
reader for the MMC card)

Yes and yes (or the radio)

I had to make the same decision, and went for the 6230, but read the
reviews and specs from the web sites and make your own mind up,
depending on what is important to you...

I have found that to get the radio to play on the loudspeaker (which seems
pretty reasonable quality BTW) I first have to connect with the headset.
Is there a work around for this? Maybe I am missing the correct
configuration?

Re: Nokia 6230 Questions
you need a dummy pop plug to trick the phone into thinking there is a
headset.
Also the headset is the radio antenna.

The headset also contains the antenna for the radio, which is why its
still required even though you are using the loudspeaker.

IIRC after removing the headset, the radio still works through the
loudspeaker?
