Have you got a Nokia 6600 and/or Nokia 6230 and a Palm device, that you wish
to connect (telephony, data wise)?? (bluetooth is NOT an issue).
Then you may need a driver for your phone, so that it can communicate with
your Palm device??
Tough.. There isn't one!!
I am aware that others have had a similar response, but the more that
communicate with Palm, then MAYBE we stand a chance??
Mailed Palm the other day, and this was their response.

there was a similar problem with the nokia 6230 and HP/iPAQ...HP released a
patch and now I'm cooking with gas

Re: Got a 6600/6230 and a Palm device??
Seems like HP prefer to keep their customers happy.
Palms idea seems to be that their customer base "can just wait til Palm are
ready to sort it", with no regard to urgency, or the sanity of their users!!
"I'm still cooking over a camp fire!" :-))

This February I got a Palm T3, it was soon evident that my 6600 could not
connnect with T3 other way than as generic BT or IR phone, losing dial-up
etc.
Mailed Palm like you did in March, thair answer was that there was not
enough demand from 6600 owners for Palm to work on a proprietary driver.
They suggested to wait for new releases of Phone_Link_Updater.
So far no new release came up.
Kept mailing Palm till I got bored.....
Maybe is this the answer?

I have received the same answer about a year ago. You can basically
forget it. If I were you, I would boycott Palm and let them know how
they suck.
Or shell out some money (maybe create a fund, I would contribute...)
and let someone write the software...

The driver for the 6230 has now been published, Luigi. Don't know about the
6600 driver though.
Sorry, and thanks for your comments/support.
Cheers

Re: Got a 6600/6230 and a Palm device??
Sure have :-))
Solution ID 7039
http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/W...port,TS=PalmEU
_UK,Case=Obj(7039)
NOTE::::
The driver for the 6230 is NOT shown as "6230 driver", but the "UPDD"
contains the driver.
Works "Perfik" Martin
Good luck
a.. If you use the Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, Tungsten T3, Tungsten E, or Zire
71, select the following two files. These files are not necessary for
setting up phone and carrier information on the Tungsten T5 and the Zire 72.
a.. PhoneLink.prc
b.. PhoneLink_xxXX.prc (Where xxXX is the same language as that used on
the device, i.e. deDE is for German/enUS for English/esES for Spanish/frFR
for French/itIT for Italian/ptBR for Portuguese)
a.. PMHDB.pdb
a.. PMNDB.pdb
a.. UPDD.prc

Re: Got a 6600/6230 and a Palm device??
I was long-time user of Palm devices. I think my first one was actually
called a PalmPilot, and the most recent the M515.
Since I got my 6600 I've got so naffed with Palm that I've changed to an
Axim X30 - the whole Pocket Windows thing is so much more compatible. I
know it's a lot of money to change but if you were thinking of changing
anyway then I would recommend sending Palm the way of Betamax.

Re: Got a 6600/6230 and a Palm device??
The driver has actually been created, and published, now Rob, so the
connectivity is there.
Thanks for your comments, however.
Have a good Christmas
