I've just received a brand new 3310 from Kays mail order, and to my
surprise it was made August 2004! I thought the 3310 was discontinued
a while back and retailers that sell it just have a large stock but it
would seem 3310's are still in production 3ish years since release!

Nokia still show it as current on their web-site.

Plus the firm I work for is still issuing the 3310 as the standard
corporate handset.
IMO it shows there is still a market for a no gimmick, no WAP, no camera,
basic reliable handset.

This one looks good

But of course does not fill your specs above.
Sadly on Nokia "Asia Pacific" site, but not on the Australia site.
What is the difference between Asia Pacific and Australia when it comes to
this sort of thing? (badly phrased question?)

In the subcontinent, nokia 3310 is the most selling cell phone. It is cheap, basic, strong and easy to replace if lost or broken.$$$$$$$$$--$$$$$$---$$$$$$$--$----$--$----$--$$$$$$$--$$$$$$-
