Hi all,
Just got the Nokia 6600 and I'm pleased with it so far. Next step is to get
a data cable and then the real fun starts!
I do have one problem though.... When I go into the SMS inbox I do not get
the names of the people that have sent me messages. I get their number in
the +44 format. The numbers are saved in the phonebook so can't see what the
problem is.
Anyone out there able to help?
Cheers, Neil.

The 6600 supports two modes of connectivity - infrared and bluetooth.
I'm afraid that a data cable is not an option on this model, so you'll
have to get your fun some other way. :-((
Good luck anyway. Bob Jones

Re: 6600 SMS Help
Afraid so...
You may still have fun by getting an infra red port to your PC though.
Usefull for transferring photos etc.

What data cable?
"Be warned that these cables are for use with special software for
configuring Nokia handsets using F-BUS or M2BUS. These can be used for phone
unlocking, firmware updates and for advanced programming use. These are not
intended for use by consumers. They are not for use with the Nokia's PC
Suite, and if you try to connect using one, you'll find that the Nokia PC
Suite won't find the phone.
If you're looking to connect to your PC for picture/file transfer, backup
and software installation, look for a Bluetooth or IR adapter"
