I'm on an O2 online pay monthly contract and recently upgraded my handset
(Nokia 6800 to Nokia 6820). I've never before had any problem with reception
on O2.

However since I started using the new handset, I'm finding that the signal
is frequently being lost completely. I will have a strong signal one minute,
and then the signal vanishes the next. Sometimes it returns after a few
seconds (as a strong signal), other times I have to switch the phone on and
off to get the signal back.

The answer to this seems fairly obvious, but does this sound like a faulty
handset? I'm pretty sure it does, but I'm just so reluctant to go through
the administrative hoops to get O2 to replace it, that I thought I'd ask for
some second opinions first!
