Your guess is correct. Your Nokia 8910i will not work in North America. What
you really need for a phone to work here is 1900 MHz and/or 850 MHz
capabilities. The Nokia 8910i is only 1800/900 MHz capable according to
Nokia:

Nokia 891i in the US?
So i read that it doesn't work in the US, and i am curious that it won't work with any carrier??
