Hi all!
Is there a way to force quit an application on a 6260? It seems like a
lot of applications I install have the phone crashing, and it seems the
only way is to shut and reboot the phone...

Every S60 apps has an exit-function.
Sometimes it's the right softkey, but normally it is found in the bottom the
menu that opens, when you press the left softkey.

Well I'm looking for a function that quits when nothing else works
(menus and so on). Hence the "force" quit...

I misunderstood your question...
Maybe because I've met quite a few people that didn't know that the apps on
Symbian phones don't close when use press the menu button.
A new taskmanager, as Daniel also mention, should then be what you need.
I've used one, I think it's simply called "TaskSwitcher".
With that one you can also see what symbian server are currently running.

Re: Nokia "Force Quit" app?
alternatively,
try just holding down the menu button, selecting the app and then pressing C

Yes. This is the way to force an app to exit on any Symbian (or at least
Nokia S60) phone. Hit task-switch (menu) button, select the app you wish to
kill and hit the delete ('c') button.
