Adding recipients name when sending a txt (6600)

Hi, when I first had my nokia 6600, when sending a txt I could enter the
recipients name in the 'to' field, rather than searching through the
phonebook, and would look up the name when it was sent. However, my phone
has juts come back from repair for some faults that developed, and this
feature no longer seems to be available. Is there an option for this
somewhere, or have nokia deleted it?

nokia have basically deleted this option in later firmwares. When you
send a text, in the 'to' field just press the pencil button to the
left of the keypad and press Alpha mode. now you can type the name in
the to field.
