Are the two different packages? PC Suite is a free d/l, Data Suite cost
    money last time I looked.

I used to use NDS with my old phone (6150) to send SMS. Can I do the
same with NPCS and my new phone (6810)? Or do I need NDS as well?

I was hoping that my list of stored numbers in my 6810 would appear as a
list in NPCS, but it doesnt !!!

Also, having installed NPCS, and connected my 6810 to it via my laptop
IR link, the laptop sees the phone OK as a source/destination to shift
files around but thats about it.... I believe I might have to d/l and
install the "Standard IR Modem" driver from the Nokia website. I did
this but when I try to install it, XP doesnt see it (no selections,
etc). Ive seen threads relating to being unable to install the modem
driver, but no solutions. The only thing I havent checked so far it the
IR setting in BIOS i.e. SIR v. FIR.

the modem driver part should be seperate. for example i find i have to unselect the IR port in the nokia connection manager when using my phone (6230) for a modem. otherwise the program seems to tie up the IR port.

my point being that i don't beleive that the correct modem drivers will help your NPCS data connectivity issue, unless i have other issues with my pc...
